  5. TLMR is an application infrastructure designed to facilitate the use of
  6. multiple DOS-based EPoS applications in a client mode interacting over a
  7. network, with the back office applications executing on a UNIX server. The
  8. underlying concept is that all applications are transaction-based, in both the
  9. EPoS and back-office applications.TLMR is able to support UNIX server
  10. duplication giving a "hot stand-by" capability. The back-office application
  11. runs on a primary device, the main engine for the support of the EPoS network,
  12. and the transactions are mirrored on the secondary device which will replay
  13. them in the event of failure of the primary.
